*Heavy sigh!*

Everything around me has conspired for this moment. Quite a movie dialogue, but trust me, it’s true. I have longed to return to this space for a long time now. Between my desk job, my travels and some other unprecedented engagements, it had become challenging to manage this. That’s when I had decided to take a break from writing and return when I was ready to do it in bigger and better fashion. The break kept growing but I knew I will return. My friends knew all along and I realised it later that I wanted to pursue this full time now. After that, it was just the planning and implementation. I wanted to get my website redeveloped, a bigger bike, move to the mountains after quitting my job, and bring the Blog back to life. And that’s what I did.

Resignation Letter

During my absence of a year and half, I did travel quite a bit and biked even bigger distances. My philosophy of unplanned travel gained more confidence and I kept to it in the true form. I became open to whatever the new places had to offer, became more accepting to people and ideas and dived deeper into the magic, that was travel. While road trips and adventure travel remained my favorite genre, I experimented on touristy travels with my parents, and loved it. One new thought which developed during this time was – Slow Travel. I wanted to eliminate the time factor from my travels and stay in one place for longer while, one of the bigger reasons why I chose to quit my job. And maybe, a big reason why I have been in the Himalayas for over 70 days as I am writing this.

In the shorter rides, I rode from Gurgaon to Bharatpur, Dausa, Jaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar in Rajasthan. In the longer, I rode from Gurgaon to Pune, a good 1600 kms for the road-trip hungry me. I took on some bus and train travels to Udiapur, Khajuraho, Bikaner, Fagu (Himachal Pradesh) including many others. I will be telling you about my adventures in Dharali, the last village before Gangotri and also about Osian, a place I paid 70 rupees for an awesome accommodation in the desert. I trekked in Tirthan Valley to the frozen Serolsar Lake on the eve of a Christmas, to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan, to the forests in Dalhousie – Kalatop – Mangla, to Mt Deo Tibba Base Camp at an altitude of 13,000ft including many others. One Holi I celebrated in Nandgaon and Barsana near Vrindavan, and the other one in Benaras. Diwali was always at home – Ahmedabad, from where I would always persuade for some travels within Gujarat or to Madhya Pradesh (like the one to Maheshwar, Indore and Ujjain). I have a great many stories from the North East as well where I went with my parents just recently and hiked down the 3,000 steps to reach the Double decker bridge in Nongriat. Oh, and I have stories from Himalayas where I have been holed up with amazing landscapes in sight, where I traveled over 3,000 kms with my tent and on my bike!

Talking of this space, you’ll be seeing stories from all these odysseys of mine. But also, much more. Travel, as a way of life, has changed my perceptions and thoughts about lot of things, about what matters and what doesn’t (nothing does, and everything). Travel went way beyond the landscapes, the pictures and the obvious aww’s  for me and transcended a lot into the metaphysical realm and experiences. I will be attempting a great deal to bring those thoughts as well to you. For the “just-give-me-the-damn-details-of-the-place,-man” audience, I will be making your lives even easier by highlighting the Tips/Tricks/Place suggestions, etc. probably in videos or italics, underline or Bold. That brings me to the different platforms:-

I will be using this platform to bring the articles to you. I will also be using YouTube to present the recorded content from my travels in the form of videos and vlogs. Instagram will be to present more pictures from my travels and Facebook to share more updates and content.

My social media handles will be:-
